Instrument making
Clavichords
Keyboard instrument in which a brass tangent strikes the string and stays in contact with it while it sounds.
The player controls dynamics directly and can produce a slight vibrato, called Bebung, by varying the pressure on the key.
It can be fretted, when several keys share the same pair of strings, or unfretted, when each key has its own strings.
